A Pound of Flesh” is a silicone / rubber based synthetic hand created to replicate the experience of tattooing a client’s real hand and skin. Its main purpose is to help an apprentice and beginning tattoo artist learn tattooing techniques under real conditions, without having to practice and make mistakes on real people. More experienced artists can also showcase an artist’s true skills and craft, seeing the work firsthand, so to speak, rather than just lifeless on paper. “A Pound of Flesh” is the closest thing out there to real skin by a long way.
For stencil application, we recommend to use ELECTRUM stencil solution. After applying the stencil, spray a thin coat of aerosol hairspray over it and let it dry overnight. DO NOT let it dry for more than a day or it can become permanent. When drawing directly on to the hand with a skin doodler still let it dry overnight. If the stencil becomes permanent apply bleach on top of the stencil and let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes. You can also apply bleach after the tattoo is done, it will notmake any damage to the tattoo.
